TWAS and illycaffè, in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste and the Fondazione Internazionale per il progresso e la libertà delle scienze , have launched the Trieste Science Prize. Two prizes will be given annually to eminent scientists living and working in developing countries who have made significant contributions to global science. Each prize carries a US$50,000 award.
